Vivan Las Mujeres Festival @ MOLAA!

I love this time of the Year! As we welcome the month of March; we celebrate Women’s Appreciation Month. Great opportunity to teach our young generations about respect, support and admiration to our creative and successful Mujeres that are using their creativity to empower not only themselves but also the public.

Viva Las Mujeres

Explore the theme of empowerment through the arts with performances, art workshops, and activities for the whole family! Female artists of all ages are encouraged to participate in a virtual display of art to be featured during the festival. Community organizations are invited to share information on their programs and resources at a resource fair for underserved community members, women, and youth.

Call for Female Artists

Female artists working in any fine art medium are invited to submit digital images of work depicting the theme of empowerment. The images will be projected during MOLAA’s ¡Vivan las mujeres! Festival on March 15, 2015.

Theme: Artworks, in some way, should depict the concept of empowerment.

Eligibility: Girls or women working in any fine art medium are invited to submit digital images of work inspired by the theme. Still images of performance or video works are acceptable. Work must be original. Reproductions or copies of another artist’s work will not qualify. The Education Department reserves the right to reject entries.

To apply, submit a Virtual Display Entry Form to education@molaa.org Deadline: February 22, 2015.
