Chicas Rockeras South East Los Angeles is a rock camp for girls committed to empowering girls through music education. We promote healing, growth and confidence while building self-esteem and encouraging group collaboration.
This camp provides a safe space that inspires girls to explore and use their creativity with others while breaking down the stereotypes associated with female group dynamics.
In one week girls ages 8-17 will learn how to play an instrument, form a band, write a song, and participate in various workshops. Each band performs their song at a community showcase at the end of the week. All skill levels are welcomed and no prior experience is required.
We are fundraising to feed our campers for our second year of camp in 2016.
Your donations will help us provide nutritious and organic meals for our students so they can focus on rockin’ in the free world.
